I was impressed by the other reviews before I purchased this book for Christmas...and completely won over when my daughter opened it on Christmas morning! Beautiful and amazing to look at. We received another Sabuda book years ago for a birthday and I've been adding to the collection since. He is an amazing artist and these books are really family treasures. One word of caution: these are not to be handled roughly, but my five year old did fine with her first with supervision. A great value and addition to the home.
what an incredible book! January 7, 2009 This Sabuda pop up book is the first one that I have purchased/ I have admired them for years, but they seemed costly . Well let me tell you that they are worth every cent you pay. I bought this for my 5 year old daughter, and she loves it. I think I have looked at it 10 times since Christmas. The detail is impossible to explain. You will be amazed by this book. There are pop ups within the pop ups. We have the Wizard of Oz too and it is equally as nice. I reccomend these books for any age that is capeable of taking care of them. You do have to handle them lightly. I plan on adding more to my girl's collection.
Sabuda did it again. January 7, 2009 Robert Sabuda makes the best pop-up books I have ever found. Plus I love the Chronicles of Narnia so this book was a must for my collection. I have almost all of his books and I love them.
I love this guy! January 7, 2009 Robert Sabuda is incredible. The book came exactly as described, brand new, all that good stuff. Got here in the time allotted. As for the book itself...it's awesome. So far, I've gotten this, Alice in Wonderland, and Wizard of Oz. They're great for kids and adults and just so well done. Highly recommended!
Excellent pop-up book!!! January 6, 2009 This book is beautifully illustrated and a wonderful story! It's also a great bargain giving a lifetime of pleasure to adults as well as children.
