Great in conjunction with a teacher. December 23, 2008 AT the beginning, this book is easy to work through alone but as you get farther along you will need a teacher to explain exactly what they are trying to teach you and to give more explanation. Once you have additional instruction it is easier to understand and use. As a beginner, I recommend.
Guitar book is great! December 17, 2008 The book came quickly and it is just what the seller said it is. I really recommend this book!
Guitar method December 16, 2008 As an older beginning guitarist, I found this book informative and easy o read. Instructions are vey clear, geared toward a beginner
great December 16, 2008 Shipped quickly, product was just what I was looking for to give to my husband, who is just learning how to play guitar.
NOT for Beginners December 8, 2008 This book, even though is intended for beginners, misses the mark. It is beautifully bound, has great illustrations, and well-made audio tracks (that are actually helpful), but skips to far-too-complicated music-playing almost immediately.
Basically, I think this book is intended for someone who has played base in a band for 10 years, and then wants to switch to lead guitar. Yes, that person is a "beginner," but realistically they already have a solid foundation.
