Excellent manual June 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having used Windows95 for about nine years,Windows Vista was rather overwhelming. That coupled with the scarcity of manuals today,THE COMPLETE IDIOTS GUIDE to Microsoft Windows Vista by Paul McFedries became my perfect guide. It is one of the best manuals I've ever used: clear, step by step explanation of whatever needs to be explained. I heartily recommend this excellent guide!

I just got a laptop and needed some guidance on how to use Windows Vista. The book came in very handy.
Excellent for first time pc users. March 11, 2007 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is the second book in the Idiot series I have purchased (first one being the Idiot's Guide to Windows ME). This book takes the approach of the first time pc user. Very thorough and gives almost all the information one needs to become fully computer-literate. I have been using computers for 7 years now and I learned a few new things. Gives you all the information you need to use Vista with ease.
A timely resource for the author's target audience February 17, 2007 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
This book is a useful introduction to major Windows Vista features. It's likely to be most useful for people who don't have in-depth experience with Windows XP, e.g., people getting their first PCs and starting with Windows Vista.
