Fantastic Book! November 24, 2008 I purchased a copy of this book for several of my family members and close friends. Each one of experienced their own personal reaction to the book... some of them were inspired by the humor you read in the stories, some touched by the incredible acts of selflessness uncovered in the writings, one person was drawn in by the photography, and another reflected on the life of a lost loved one. What a great gift to yourself or someone you love! Read and remember to live life to the fullest!

Book makes a wonderful gift! November 24, 2008 The Faces of Life book is an inspiration to anyone who is dealing with end-of-life issues, and makes a perfect gift. I bought one for a friend who is caring for her terminally ill mother, and it was a source of great strength and inspiration for her and her mother. I would highly recommend this book to anyone, the stories are amazing and the photographs are breath taking.

A hospice is a place dedicated to provide terminally ill men and women as dignified a living space and as peaceful a death as possible. The basic premise of hospice care is that even in life's final moments there is meaning. "Faces Of Life" is a project of the Covenant Hospice based in Pensacola, Florida, where more than forty hospice patients were interviewed, profiled, and are here presented with their photographs. Their stories are presented in brief vignettes and reveal how their experience in hospice care affected not only their final days, but touched, and even inspired, the lives of their families and friends as well. Published in celebration of National Hospice Month in November of 2005, "Faces Of Life" is especially recommended reading for anyone facing hospice care for themselves or a loved one, and would make an especially appropriate community library Memorial Fund acquisition selection.
