5 out of 5 stars Truly what "life-long learning" is all about!   March 3, 2005

Finally a real connection between skills that can be taught in schools and what employers are seeking in successful employees! Becoming the Best Me provides the cure for student reponses of "When will I ever need to know this?" A student-friendly book that helps students recognize practical skills and personal qualities that promote success in the classroom, in the workplace, and in life. Distributed to our 9th grade students, a great resource to increase awareness of "what really counts!"

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Resource!   October 13, 2004

The author does a great job of describing the skills that students need to be successful in school and in life. The tone of the book is genuine and not preachy and the students that I work with really enjoy the book. The author also describes "soft skills" in a manner that is meaningful and understandable to students.
